Welcome to The Priory, Killarney
Built in 1780 this magnificent residence is inundated with history. Owned since 2002 by its current owners, Tim and Bernadette O’Donoghue, he house sits on 1.5 acres of land with beautiful gardens and a courtyard to the rear containing the 4 cottages.
The cottages are a unique development in an intimate setting formed by a matchless sense of history. They have been sensitively renovated with particular attention taken to detail and the use of authentic materials which reckon back to the old-world setting.
The Killarney Courtyard Cottages, located just 1km from the town centre and minutes from the world-famous Killarney National Park, take their character from the historic Priory House (circa 1780), whose antique charm lends their living space a unique ambiance.
In addition to the 4 cottages at The Priory, there is also a three bedroom house in town – Sunnyhill.

Had a fabulous stay. Bernadette was amazing, responsive and so friendly and helpful. The Coach House was clean and cozy and surprising spacious. the gardens are so relaxing. Access to the sparkling water was a fabulous bonus. Would we stay here again? Absolutely and will definitely recommend!!

This was the “vacation within a vacation” spot, and I wanted to find a quiet place away from the busier Killarney locations. I loved the stone house and all the amenities. If you need peaceful nights after days of hotels, come here.

Tim and Bernadette were why we love Airbnb and have such warm hearts for Ireland. The Priory is beautiful with great attention to detail. Strong showers, gorgeous grounds, and a lovey quiet getaway spot from the bussel of Killarney for my family to reconnect. We hiked to Killarney National Park from Tim’s and found many spots for good food and a pint within walking distance. The Priory is the place to be in Killarney. Thanks Tim for the memories.

The Priory was an excellent base for our family of four exploring Kerry for a few days in October. The house is just lovely, full of character and the stove with lots of firing was highly appreciated. Couldn’t have been easier to check in and out. I also loved the filtered still and sparkling water taps outside. All in all a very pleasant stay and highly recommended. Thank you.
